If you’re tired of having to use different remotes to control your home theatre system, good news is here. You can now use pretty much any remote control with your Apple TV and it’s fairly simple to get going.
CONTROL YOUR APPLE TV WITH ANY UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROL
Step 1: Navigate to “General” under the “Settings” menu.
Step 2: Select the “Remotes” menu option.
Step 3: Choose the “Learn Remote” tab.
Step 4: Once you’re ready with your new remote, press the “Start” button.
Step 5: Follow the on screen instructions to complete.
Congratulations! You’re now able to control your Apple TV with the same remote as your television and surround sound setup. Keep in mind that you should still hold onto your Apple TV Remote in case something goes wrong.
